Reporting to the Human Resources Director and working closely with managers, the Human Resources Advisor plays a key role in supporting HR operations and talent development. The incumbent actively contributes to recruitment, employee relations, performance management, health and safety, legal compliance, organizational development, as well as payroll administration and HR systems management.

This is a full-time position based at our head office in Vaudreuil-Dorion.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and practices
  • Advise and support managers in the day-to-day management of their teams
  • Manage the full recruitment process, from job posting through onboarding of new employees
  • Develop and implement initiatives that promote employee engagement, motivation, and well-being
  • Manage employee relations matters, including workplace investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding company policies, benefits, leave programs, and other HR-related matters
  • Participate in performance management, employee development, and succession planning initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and HR best practices
  • Contribute to the maintenance and continuous improvement of occupational health and safety programs
  • Manage CNESST-related follow-ups, workplace injury files, and regulatory compliance
  • Coordinate and monitor mandatory training and employee development activities
  • Serve as the resource person for initiatives related to the Office québécois de la langue française (OQLF) and compliance with the Charter of the French Language
  • Process payroll for both hourly and salaried employees
  • Ensure the accuracy of payroll data, including hours worked, vacation, leave, employee benefits, and payroll adjustments
  • Administer the ADP Workforce Now and ADP Run platforms
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records within HR and payroll systems
  • Prepare and validate various HR and payroll reports
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of HR processes and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Serve as the primary contact for employees and managers regarding payroll-related questions

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field
  • CRHA or CRIA designation is considered an asset
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a generalist HR role or as a Human Resources Advisor
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now and/or ADP Run is considered an asset
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset
  • Excellent knowledge of Québec and Canadian labour laws, employment standards, and HR best practices
  • Experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and practices is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and HR information systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English*
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
