Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accountant is responsible for overseeing and performing the company’s key accounting functions. The incumbent ensures the accuracy of financial records, supports the production of reliable financial information, and contributes to operational decision-making. The role includes managing general ledger activities, overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable operations, supporting payroll processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Vaudreuil-Dorion headquarters.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial data;
  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations;
  • Monitor inventory accounting and contribute to the analysis of manufacturing costs;
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable activities;
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and support internal and external audits;
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analysis of business results;
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting and financial processes;
  • Support the optimization and effective use of financial systems and management tools;
  • Ensure compliance with applicable tax, regulatory, and accounting requirements;
  • Perform any other related duties required within the scope of the position.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field;
  • Minimum of five years of experience in accounting or finance;
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis;
  • Knowledge of accounting in a manufacturing environment and inventory costing;
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
  • Experience with an ERP system such as Business Central, M1, or an equivalent system – an asset;
  • Experience supervising or coordinating processes – an asset;
  • Experience working with auditors, financial institutions, or external partners – an asset;
  • Proficiency in both French and English*, spoken and written;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
